Head of the Afghanistan Disaster Management Authority Receives Certificate for 320 Tons of Humanitarian Aid from Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister

KABUL – This morning, Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, Head of the Disaster Management Authority, received the official certificate for 320 tons of humanitarian assistance from the Republic of Kazakhstan on the sidelines of the Afghanistan-Kazakhstan Trade Exhibition and B2B business meetings.

The certificate was handed over by Mr. Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan.

The ceremony was also attended by Alhaj Nooruddin Azizi, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Mr.

Gaziz Akbasov, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Afghanistan; and a number of traders from both countries.

Alhaj Mullah Nooruddin Turabi, Head of the Disaster Management Authority, expressed his gratitude for Kazakhstan’s humanitarian cooperation, stating that the country has consistently stood by the people of Afghanistan during difficult times.

He thanked the Kazakh side for providing the aid and assured that the consignment would be distributed transparently, fairly, and in a timely manner to eligible individuals and those affected by disasters.

Mr. Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan, noted that his country has provided humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people in multiple phases.

According to him, these contributions not only demonstrate support for the Afghan people but also signify the friendly relations and solidarity between the two nations.

He added that the shipment includes food, non-food items, and medical supplies.

It is noteworthy that this aid package includes 300 tons of sugar, 100 ten-person tents, 1,000 blankets, 2,000 quilts, 1,000 bedding sets (mattress, mattress cover, and pillow), 1,000 pillows, and 5,000 sets of men’s undergarments.

The consignment was received by representatives of the Disaster Management Authority from the Consul General of Kazakhstan at the Hairatan port.
