{"id":933,"date":"2025-02-20T21:57:07","date_gmt":"2025-02-20T17:27:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/weezharoz.com\/en\/?p=933"},"modified":"2025-02-20T21:57:07","modified_gmt":"2025-02-20T17:27:07","slug":"a-us-military-base-in-kabul-converted-into-a-military-health-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/weezharoz.com\/en\/a-us-military-base-in-kabul-converted-into-a-military-health-center\/","title":{"rendered":"A US Military Base in Kabul Converted into a Military Health Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><span style=\"color: #993300;\">Weezha Roz<\/span>-Kabul<\/strong>-The 400-bed Sardar Mohammad Daoud Khan Hospital, one of the largest healthcare facilities under the Ministry of National Defense of Afghanistan, has expanded its operations as a symbol of self-reliance in the country\u2019s health system.<\/p>\n<p>This hospital, built with a cost of 2 billion Afghanis, equipped with standard medical facilities, now serves as a center for surgery, internal medicine, ear, nose, and throat treatments, as well as the treatment of infectious diseases.<\/p>\n<p>Previously known as one of NATO&#8217;s (NKC) bases in Kabul, the facility has now been transformed into a center providing services in various medical fields, including open-heart surgery, endoscopy, and laser treatments.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital is equipped with modern diagnostic and medical devices, including surgery equipment and diagnostic technology.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to general surgery and cardiac care, new sections have been established, such as a 100-bed cancer hospital, a 200-bed maternity ward, and a health sciences training center.<\/p>\n<p>With the recruitment of both local and foreign specialists, the capacity of the hospital&#8217;s medical staff has increased, and training programs for military surgeons are being conducted.<\/p>\n<p>Fasiheddin Fetrat, the Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Defense, highlighted during the opening ceremony of the center: &#8220;The sections of this hospital have been opened in the former NATO center.<\/p>\n<p>Today, all matters of the country are in the hands of Afghans, and no foreign force has any role.
