{"id":527,"date":"2025-01-18T01:57:56","date_gmt":"2025-01-17T21:27:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/weezharoz.com\/en\/?p=527"},"modified":"2025-01-18T02:02:50","modified_gmt":"2025-01-17T21:32:50","slug":"527-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/weezharoz.com\/en\/527-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Salang Highways Temporarily Closed Due to Snowfall and Storm"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #993300;\"><strong>Weezha Roz<\/strong><\/span>-The Salang Highways have been temporarily closed to traffic due to heavy snowfall, a storm, and limited visibility.<\/p>\n<p>The closure, which started at 11:30 PM on Friday night, will remain in effect until further notice to prevent potential loss of life and property damage.<\/p>\n<p>Mohammad Ashraf Haqshanas, spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Works, stated that the Salang Highways are closed to both passenger and freight vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>According to Haqshanas, the snowfall combined with a storm is currently ongoing, and personnel from the Salang Maintenance and Protection Directorate are working to evacuate vehicles from vulnerable areas on both sides of the highway.<\/p>\n<p>He urged travelers and drivers who are currently on both sides of the highway to stop in safe areas to avoid any potential risks from the weather conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Haqshanas also advised passengers who plan to travel on either side of the highway to refrain from heading towards the Salang areas unless they have urgent business, until further notice.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Haqshanas mentioned that the personnel from the Salang Maintenance and Protection Directorate are ready to clear the snow-prone areas and reopen the highway to traffic as soon as the weather conditions improve.<\/p>\n<p>Weezha Roz<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Weezha Roz-The Salang Highways have been temporarily closed to traffic due to heavy snowfall, a storm, and limited visibility.
