The Pakistani President noted that this was Pezeshkian’s first official visit to Pakistan following the recent crisis with the United States, describing it as a testament to the long-standing brotherly relations between the two countries.<\/p>\n
He also reaffirmed Islamabad’s support for peace, stability, and the territorial integrity of Iran.<\/p>\n
In a joint press conference with Pezeshkian, Pakistan’s Prime Minister described the peace agreement between Iran and the United States as ushering in a “new era of peace and stability” in the region.<\/p>\n
He expressed satisfaction with Pakistan’s role as a “sincere and faithful mediator” in this process.<\/p>\n
Sharif commended the “prudent leadership” of Pezeshkian and his colleagues, stating that Pakistan had played its mediation role with “complete honesty and sincerity.”<\/p>\n
He also announced that he would travel to Iran next month to participate in the commemoration ceremonies for the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution.<\/p>\n
The Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan also reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to regional peace and stability during his meeting with the Iranian President.<\/p>\n

During this visit, Pezeshkian described Pakistan not only as a neighbor but as a “brother and close friend” of Iran, adding that the two countries share “one soul in two bodies” and are partners in a shared future.<\/p>\n
He assessed Pakistan’s role in the negotiation process as “excellent” and stated that without Pakistan’s efforts, Iran would not have reached this position.<\/p>\n
The Iranian President also emphasized the deep commonalities between the two countries in their aspirations and hopes, reaffirming Tehran’s determination to expand economic, commercial, and political cooperation with Pakistan.<\/p>\n
This one-day visit took place less than a week after the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between Iran and the United States.<\/p>\n
Following this agreement, technical negotiations between Iran and the U.S. were held in Switzerland, where both sides agreed on a roadmap to reach a final agreement within 60 days.<\/p>\n
Before departing Tehran, Pezeshkian had stated that the purpose of this visit was “ensuring the full implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding in accordance with international law.”<\/p>\n
