Weezharoz<\/span>\u2013Islamabad<\/strong>\u2013This agreement is described as a milestone in strengthening bilateral relations and leveraging the technological capabilities of both nations.<\/p>\n

The signing ceremony was attended by Murad Ashraf Janjua, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Brazil, along with senior officials from Brazil’s Ministry of Defense.<\/p>\n

Showcasing Pakistan’s Capabilities at LAAD-2025\u00a0At the exhibition, Pakistan made a notable contribution by setting up its first-ever dedicated pavilion, showcasing its defense achievements, including products from major companies such as Global Industrial Defense Solutions (GIDS), Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), and National Radio & Telecommunication Corporation (NRTC).<\/p>\n

The Deputy Secretary of Defense Production of Pakistan emphasized the country\u2019s strengths in cost-effective, indigenous production, which he attributed to extensive experience in conventional and hybrid warfare.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Pakistan proposed collaboration on upgrading the Brazilian Army’s M-113 armored vehicles, and offered the JF-17 Thunder multirole fighter aircraft to Brazil’s Air Force. The JF-17 was presented as a cost-effective and efficient option for Brazil’s air force modernization needs.<\/p>\n

Both sides stressed the importance of convening the first 2+2 Dialogue between their respective ministries of defense and foreign affairs as soon as possible, to accelerate cooperation in military technology, space applications, and industrial development.<\/p>\n

Brazil’s Defense Challenges
\nThe Brazilian Defense Minister highlighted the country’s challenges, including fighting transnational crimes and protecting the Amazon region, and called for increased cooperation with Pakistan in these areas.<\/p>\n

The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the mutual commitment to expanding defense cooperation and utilizing the strengths of both countries to achieve sustainable security and development.<\/p>\n
