According to field reports, the Kuki forces, employing asymmetric warfare tactics, surrounded a military convoy in the mountainous region of Manipur and took 70 soldiers as “prisoners of war.”<\/p>\n

This marks the first time in recent years that such a large number of Indian troops have been captured in an internal conflict.<\/p>\n

The base, known as a hub for distributing advanced weaponry for the Indian Army, fell under complete militant control after hours of intense fighting.<\/p>\n

Sources have confirmed that weapons, including rocket launchers, missiles, and vast ammunition supplies, were seized by the attackers.<\/p>\n

Security experts warn that the capture of the Chen Hills base significantly shifts the power balance in favor of the militants in the region.<\/p>\n

Dr. Rajesh Mishra, a military affairs analyst, states, “Controlling this base not only increases the logistical capability of the groups but also highlights India\u2019s strategic weakness in managing ethnic crises.”<\/p>\n

Manipur, a state in northeastern India, has been witnessing ethnic conflict for decades between indigenous groups, including the Kukis, and the central government.<\/p>\n

Calls for autonomy and the unequal distribution of resources are cited as primary factors fueling the escalation of tensions.<\/p>\n

Given the extensive capture of soldiers and the seizure of strategic weaponry, it is expected that the Indian government will initiate unprecedented military operations.<\/p>\n
