World’s Highest Bridge Near Completion in Guizhou Province, China

Weezha Roz-On Friday, China completed the main structure of a bridge in Guizhou Province, located in the southwestern part of the country, which is set to become the world’s highest bridge.
The final steel girder, weighing around 215 tons, was carefully placed in position on Friday afternoon, connecting sections of the Grand Canyon Huajiang Bridge, which is under construction.
Chinese media have reported that the suspended bridge, being built by the Guizhou Transport Investment Company, has a vertical height of 625 meters from the deck of the bridge to the river’s surface, nearly twice the height of the Eiffel Tower.
This bridge, measuring 2,890 meters in length and with a span of 1,420 meters, is also considered the largest bridge with the longest span in mountainous regions around the world.
So far, 93 sections of the Grand Canyon Huajiang Bridge have been assembled, and the bridge is nearing completion.
It is worth noting that the tallest completed bridge in the world is also located in this province.
