Widespread Support Across Afghanistan for the Oppressed People of Gaza

Afghanistan-Amid the continued deadly assaults by the Israeli regime on the Gaza Strip, citizens across Afghanistan—from Kabul, Kandahar, Herat, and Mazar-i-Sharif to Nangarhar, Laghman, Balkh, Takhar, Panjshir, Parwan, Paktia, Faryab, Kunduz, Baghlan, and Logar—have staged mass rallies and gatherings to strongly condemn these atrocities. This report highlights key moments of these nationwide demonstrations.

Weezharoz-Protests in Kandahar:
University professors, students, and the public gathered in major mosques holding Qur’an recitation ceremonies and protests, voicing their solidarity with the oppressed people of Gaza.

Speakers denounced the violence as a gross violation of human rights and international norms.

Protests in Kabul:
Thousands rallied in Wazir Akbar Khan, chanting slogans such as “Death to Israel” and “Save Gaza.”

Another large gathering took place in West Kabul near Masalla-e-Abasaleh Mahdi, where citizens and religious leaders strongly condemned Israeli crimes.

Herat & Mazar-i-Sharif:
In Herat’s central mosque and Injil district, crowds took to the streets showing deep sympathy with Palestinians. Youth participation was especially strong.

Similar protests took place in Mazar-i-Sharif with significant public turnout.

In Nangarhar, Kunar, and Laghman, residents rallied against Israeli aggression.

Religious and Official Response:
Imams and preachers across the country condemned the Israeli attacks as clear acts of genocide and crimes against humanity during Friday prayers.

They called for urgent global intervention.

Despite enduring over four decades of war and instability, the Afghan people have consistently supported the Palestinian cause.

These widespread protests highlight the deep-rooted solidarity between Afghans and Palestinians and call for immediate international attention to halt the atrocities in Gaza.

Afghanistan, despite its internal challenges, remains one of the most steadfast regional supporters of the Palestinian people.
