United States and Vietnam Sign New Trade Deal; Trump Officially Announces the Agreement

Washington – U.S. President Donald Trump announced on his official social media page that, following a meeting with To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a major trade agreement has been signed with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Weezharoz-Trump described the deal as a significant step toward expanding economic cooperation between the two countries. Under the terms of the agreement, Vietnam is required to impose a 20% tariff on all exports to the U.S. and a 40% tariff on transshipped goods.

In return, for the first time ever, Vietnam will grant the United States full access to its domestic markets a move Trump called “unprecedented.”

According to the agreement, American products including SUVs can enter the Vietnamese market tariff-free.

Trump also noted that large-engine vehicles, which are highly popular in the U.S., could play a vital role in various production lines within Vietnam.

He described his meeting with the Vietnamese Communist Party chief as “enjoyable and honorable” and thanked the public for their attention to this matter.
