U.S. and U.K. Military Attacks on Yemen Constitute Aggression Crimes

weezha Roz – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Ismail Baqaei, strongly condemned the recent military attacks by the United States and the United Kingdom on infrastructure targets in the Yemeni provinces of Sana’a, Hodeidah, and Amran. He stressed that these criminal actions cannot undermine the determination of the heroic people of Yemen in expressing solidarity and support for the oppressed people of Palestine.
The spokesman pointed out that the repeated attacks by the U.S. and the U.K. on Yemen’s infrastructure, aimed at supporting the Israeli regime and furthering the genocide of Palestinians, are a blatant violation of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter. He described these attacks as acts of ‘aggression’ in accordance with the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
Baqaei also condemned the inaction of the United Nations Security Council regarding the ongoing genocide in Gaza and the military assaults by the U.S., U.K., and Israeli regime on Yemen’s vital infrastructure. He criticized the Council’s clear failure to fulfill its responsibilities in halting ‘aggressive actions’ and ‘repeated violations of peace,’ holding the involved states accountable for their international obligations.
He called for serious action from the global community, particularly Islamic and regional countries, to halt the occupation, genocide, and aggression of the Israeli regime and its supporters against the peoples of the region.
