TTP Spring Offensive Intensifies: Series of Attacks Reported Across Pakistan
Pakistan-Mohammad Khorasani, spokesperson for Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), told weezharoz that the group carried out a series of armed assaults across multiple regions of Pakistan on June 10, 2025, as part of its spring operation codenamed "Al-Khandaq."
Weezharoz-According to Khorasani, the attacks included sniper fire, rocket strikes, and the destruction of surveillance equipment, resulting in casualties among Pakistani security forces and damage to military installations.
Key incidents cited include:
1. In Baka Khel, Bannu: A Pakistani soldier was killed by sniper fire, and a surveillance camera destroyed. The attack escalated with light and heavy weapons.
2. In Naurang, Lakki Marwat: TTP militants clashed with police and CTD, killing one officer and injuring another. Three TTP fighters were also killed.
3. In Makin, South Waziristan: A military surveillance camera was targeted.
4. In Drosh, Chitral: A checkpoint was attacked and a camera damaged.
5. In Arsoon Khor: Six rockets were fired at a military post, reportedly causing casualties and material damage.
6. In Bara, Khyber: A sniper attack on a watch post killed one soldier and injured another.
7. On June 7, in Tirah Bagh: An army convoy was ambushed, resulting in two deaths, multiple injuries including a driver.
8. In Shalobar, Bara: A sniper killed an FC security personnel.
Khorasani stated that some reports were delayed due to operational security.
Pakistani authorities have since launched sweeping military operations in response.
