TTP Announces the Detention of 16 Pakistani Nuclear Engineers

Weezha Roz – Media sources affiliated with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) have released a video and the names of several individuals, claiming that 18 engineers and staff members from Pakistan’s nuclear sector have been detained.
According to these sources, the engineers were arrested during an operation in the Dera Ismail Khan area.
In the video that was shared, the detained engineers urge the Pakistani government to take immediate action for their release and to prioritize the demands of the TTP in exchange for their freedom.
Following the mass detention of Pakistan’s nuclear personnel, some security experts have raised concerns over the country’s ability to protect key military sectors. Experts argue that the ongoing internal conflicts in Pakistan have reached such a level that the state is now unable to safeguard the lives of its nuclear staff.
The TTP has identified the following 16 individuals as being among those detained:

13. Noor Nawaz, son of Lul Khan
14. Mohammad Riyaz, son of Mohammad Mir Khan
15. Abdul Rahman, son of Mohammad Khan
