Trump’s Middle East Visit: Qatar Strikes Historic 96 Billion Deal with Boeing

Dubs-During U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to the Middle East, Qatar and Boeing signed a historic agreement worth96 billion for the purchase of 210 wide-body aircraft. The deal includes 130 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, 30 Boeing 777X aircraft, and an option to purchase an additional 50 planes. It marks the largest wide-body aircraft order in Boeing’s history.

Weezharoz-The planes will be equipped with GEnx and GE9X engines manufactured by GE Aerospace.

The agreement also includes 400 wide-body jet engines, making it GE’s largest jet engine order to date.

This deal comes as Boeing attempts to restore its global reputation after years of financial losses and technical setbacks.

Following the announcement, Boeing’s shares rose by 1.5%.
