Hanafi: We interact with all our neighbors based on mutual trust, and no country should interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.

Weezha Roz-Yesterday, the Benevolent Market, which had been in ruins and abandoned for many years, was reopened and put into operation according to international standards and criteria.

During the inauguration ceremony of the new Benevolent Market Complex, Abdul Salam Hanafi, the Administrative Deputy of the Prime Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, emphasized the importance of the country’s development and progress through the growth of trade and support for investment.

He stated that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is striving to genuinely grow the business and private sectors and is committed to supporting this sector.

Mr. Hanafi further said that a country that has endured much pain and suffering must move towards growth and prosperity by supporting developmental projects.

One such supportive initiative is the inauguration of the new Benevolent Market Complex, which provides a secure environment and necessary facilities for traders and investors.

This complex has been constructed on a 9,361 square meter plot, which includes land belonging to three government entities: the Ministry of Finance (6,728 square meters), the National Bank of Afghanistan (1,423 square meters), and the Municipality (1,200 square meters). The construction cost of this project amounted to 34 million dollars.

Mr. Hanafi added that 30% of the rental income from the shops in this market will go to the government sector, while the remaining 70% will be paid to affected traders and investors.

He described this project as the first and largest project implemented in the early days of the Islamic Emirate, demonstrating the private sector’s trust in the economic programs of the Islamic Emirate and the government’s support for this sector.

This complex has 9 floors and 1,300 shops equipped with modern systems, directly and indirectly providing employment opportunities for thousands of people.

Mr. Hanafi invited Afghan traders and investors operating abroad to return to the country and invest in Afghanistan to prevent the difficult journeys of young people and to achieve self-sufficiency.

He also called on Afghans who have left the country in recent years for various reasons to return to their homeland, assuring them that the doors of Afghanistan are open to all, and no one will face any threats or problems.

In another part of his speech, Mr. Hanafi referred to Afghanistan’s relations with neighboring countries and the international community, stating: “We interact with all our neighbors based on mutual trust, and no country should interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs.”

He emphasized that Afghanistan is committed to peaceful interaction with its neighbors and other countries worldwide and will not use any force or pressure in its interactions.

At this conference, Mullah Abdul Manan Omari, the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of the Islamic Emirate, was also present. In his speech, he said: “The inauguration of such large projects in the country shows that Afghanistan is a safe country and a suitable place for investment.”

He added that the implementation of such national projects not only provides employment opportunities for many people but also demonstrates good coordination between the government and traders.

Summary

The inauguration of the new Benevolent Market Complex is a significant step towards the economic development of Afghanistan and the support of the private sector.

This project has not only created numerous job opportunities but also demonstrates the Islamic Emirate’s commitment to providing a secure and suitable environment for investment and the growth of trade in the country.

It is hoped that such projects will steer Afghanistan towards self-sufficiency and economic progress.
