Strengthening Strategic Cooperation: Chinese Ambassador Meets Pakistani Prime Minister

Islamabad-Amid rising regional tensions, particularly following the deadly attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to discuss bilateral relations. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of collaboration in economic, security, and counterterrorism domains.

He also thanked China for understanding Pakistan’s principled stance regarding India’s recent actions and for supporting the call for an impartial international investigation into the Pahalgam incident.

The Chinese ambassador reiterated his country’s commitment to fostering peace and stability in South Asia and stressed the continuation of economic and security cooperation between the two nations.

This meeting comes at a time of heightened India-Pakistan tensions, with growing concerns over potential further escalations in the region.
