Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation: Signing of Major Water Supply Agreement in Meeting Between OIC Ambassador and Islamic Emirate Official
Mawlawi Zakirullah Zakir, Head of the Political Office of the Prime Minister’s Office of the Islamic Emirate, met with Mohammad Saeed Al-Ayash, the Ambassador of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Kabul. In this meeting, which focused on expanding joint cooperation between the Islamic Emirate and the OIC, both parties emphasized strengthening relations in the fields of infrastructure, culture, and religion.

Weezha Roz-Kabul-The OIC Ambassador expressed the organization’s interest in comprehensive cooperation with Afghanistan, stating: “The Organization of Islamic Cooperation is ready to participate in large-scale infrastructure projects and is already implementing several such projects in Afghanistan.”
He also emphasized the OIC’s efforts to play an effective role in the development of essential infrastructure.
Mawlawi Zakir described the OIC as a symbol of the unity of the Muslim world and added: “The Islamic Emirate, within the framework of Islamic principles, supports constructive relations with all countries and urges the global Islamic community to actively participate in Afghanistan’s fundamental, religious, scientific, and cultural projects.”
At the end of the meeting, two significant agreements were signed between the parties:
1. Construction of a water supply network in the Chahar Asyab district of Kabul province.
2. Completion of the partially built mosque in the same area, based on proposals from local influential figures and coordination with the Political Office of the Prime Minister’s Office.
According to these agreements, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation will be responsible for financing and implementing these projects.
These agreements are seen as an important step towards improving Afghanistan’s vital infrastructure and enhancing the Islamic Emirate’s role in regional and Islamic cooperation.
