Strengthening Baku-Islamabad Military Ties: Azerbaijani Pilots Complete JF-17 Training in Pakistan

Islamabad-In a major step toward deepening defense cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, a group of Azerbaijani Air Force personnel has successfully completed technical training on advanced JF-17 Block III fighter jets in Pakistan and returned home.

weezharoz-The training was conducted at one of Pakistan Air Force’s operational bases, where Azerbaijani staff received hands-on instruction and familiarization with the infrastructure and systems of the jointly-developed Chinese-Pakistani fighter jets.

During the collaboration, Azerbaijani technical crews were seen towing a JF-17C Block III from a fortified hangar at the base symbolizing their direct involvement in the practical aspects of jet handling and operations.

Defense relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan have grown significantly in recent years.

Both nations have consistently supported each other on key international issues: Azerbaijan backs Pakistan’s stance on Kashmir, while Pakistan supports Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Military cooperation, especially in aerospace and defense technology, has become a central pillar of this strategic relationship.

The successful completion of this training program is expected to pave the way for future arms deals and joint military exercises between the two countries.
