Weezha Roz-Mohammad Dawood Kargar, President of the Afghanistan Ski Federation, traveled to China to participate in the 9th edition of the Asian Winter Games, which will be held in Harbin.
Before his departure, Mr. Kargar met with Mawlawi Ahmadullah Waseq, the General Director of the Afghanistan Sports Department, to bid farewell.
During the meeting, Mr. Kargar provided an overview of the upcoming games, followed by Mr. Waseq, who highlighted the importance of these games and expressed his hope that Afghan athletes would perform successfully and excel in the competition.
The 9th Asian Winter Games will begin on February 7th of this year and will continue until the 14th of the same month.
A total of 1,275 athletes from 34 Asian countries will participate in these games.
The President of the Afghanistan Ski Federation and three Afghan athletes will represent their country in this prestigious competition.
