Sheikh Saniullah Farahmand Assumes Office as Afghanistan’s Ambassador to Turkey

Kabul – Abdulrahim Rashid, Head of Foreign Relations at Afghanistan’s Supreme Court, announced via Twitter that Sheikh Saniullah Farahmand, former head of the Paktia Military Court, has officially taken office as Afghanistan’s Ambassador and Special Representative to Turkey.

Weezharoz-According to Rashid, the introduction ceremony in Ankara was attended by a formal delegation, along with prominent Afghan community leaders and scholars based in Turkey.

During the event, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, Afghanistan’s Foreign Minister, stated that the elevation of diplomatic relations to ambassadorial level reflects the growing cooperation and positive ties between Afghanistan and Turkey.

Sheikh Farahmand was described as a religious scholar, multilingual, experienced, and articulate figure who is expected to play a vital role in strengthening diplomatic engagement between Kabul and Ankara.
