Shamkhani Reacts to Nuclear Facility Attacks: “The Game Is Not Over, Surprises Will Continue”

Tehran-Ali Shamkhani, senior member of Iran’s Expediency Council, issued a response to the recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear sites by posting a message in Hebrew on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), asserting that despite the damage, “the game is not over.”

Weezharoz-In his post, Shamkhani wrote: “Even assuming the facilities have been completely destroyed, the game is not over; the enriched materials, local expertise, and political will remain.”

He continued: “The political and operational initiative, along with the legitimate right to self-defense, is now in the hands of the side that acts wisely and avoids indiscriminate fire. Surprises will continue.”

His remarks come in the wake of unprecedented U.S. airstrikes using bunker-buster bombs, raising international concern over a potential escalation of regional conflict.

Shamkhani’s message in Hebrew is widely seen as a direct signal to Israeli policymakers and public opinion, reinforcing Iran’s deterrence strategy amid heightened military threats.
