Return of Ambassadors: A New Chapter in Kabul-Islamabad Diplomatic Relations
KABUL-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan officially welcomed the Government of Pakistan’s decision on Saturday to elevate its diplomatic mission in Kabul to the level of ambassador.

Weezharoz-In a statement, the Afghan Foreign Ministry announced that, in a reciprocal move, the Islamic Emirate will also upgrade the status of its diplomatic representation in Islamabad from chargé d’affaires to ambassador.
Officials highlighted that this diplomatic upgrade between Kabul and Islamabad paves the way for expanded cooperation in various sectors and marks the beginning of a renewed phase in bilateral relations.
The development comes amid years of strained relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan, yet it signals a mutual political will to improve ties and address challenges through formal dialogue.
The elevation of diplomatic missions is expected to positively impact economic, security, border, and cultural cooperation, setting a constructive path forward for both neighboring nations.
