Request of the Islamic Emirate Spokesperson from UNAMA: Strengthening Relations and Efforts to Lift Sanctions and Blockades

Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesperson for the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, has called on UNAMA following the extension of its mandate to work towards strengthening relations between Afghanistan, the United Nations, and other countries, and to accurately reflect the security, economic, and social progress of Afghanistan. He also emphasized that UNAMA should take effective steps in obtaining the global rights of the Afghan people, including lifting unnecessary sanctions and financial blockades on Afghan assets.

Weezha Roz-Kabul-Mujahid stated: “UNAMA must work to lift sanctions and unblock Afghan assets, as well as ensure Afghanistan’s seat at the United Nations is handed over to the Islamic Emirate.

These actions are crucial in securing the rights of the Afghan people.”

He also urged UNAMA to refrain from creating unnecessary disturbances and negative propaganda against Afghanistan, and to avoid falling into the hands of malicious circles.

According to Mujahid, such actions should not cause divisions or create unnecessary tensions in Afghanistan.

The spokesperson of the Islamic Emirate emphasized that UNAMA’s efforts should focus on supporting the rights of the Afghan people and improving the economic and social conditions, and called on the mission to play an active role in the sustainable development and progress of Afghanistan.

While UNAMA continues its mission in Afghanistan, Mujahid’s remarks reflect the Islamic Emirate’s expectations for this international body to align with the interests of the Afghan people and collaborate towards progress and prosperity.
