Weezha Roz – Mike Pompeo, former U.S. Secretary of State under President Donald Trump, stated at a gathering of the Mujahedin-e Khalq (MEK) in Paris that Trump will resume his maximum pressure campaign against Iran from day one upon his return to power.
Pompeo remarked that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is now hiding in Russia, hoping not to be killed by his opponents, and that theocratic dictator of Iran could be the next in line.
He further added that this time, the U.S. will target the economic channels of the Iranian regime with greater intensity and will “squeeze their throats.”
