Pezeshkian: Strike on Nuclear Facilities Proves U.S. Is the Main Force Behind Israeli Hostility Against Iran
Tehran-Following last night’s U.S. airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities using “bunker buster” bombs, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian strongly condemned the attacks and accused the United States of being the real force behind Israel’s hostile actions against Iran. “Iran’s decisive response sent a clear message to the aggressors,” he stated.
Weezharoz-The U.S. reportedly used the GBU-57A/B Massive Ordnance Penetrator, a 13.6-ton bomb capable of penetrating 60 meters underground, deployed by B-2 Spirit bombers, targeting Iran’s nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.
Officials in Qom confirmed part of the Fordow complex was hit, while reports indicated air defenses were activated in Tehran and Qom during the night.
UN Secretary-General António Guterres called the strike a “dangerous escalation,” warning that the conflict could spiral out of control.
Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization labeled the attack a violation of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and urged the international community to condemn it.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump claimed “complete destruction” of Iran’s nuclear facilities and issued an ultimatum: “Peace or greater tragedy,” while praising his cooperation with Israeli PM Netanyahu as an “unmatched team.”
Pezeshkian declared, “The latest aggression proves the U.S. is the main driver of Israeli actions.
They initially hid their role but, after Iran’s response and Israel’s failure, were forced to step in.
” He said Israel lacks the capability to independently attack Iran.
The president called Iran’s military operations against Israeli-occupied territories a response to America’s aggressive policies, urging all government sectors to embody this resistance spirit.
Criticizing Western values, he said, “Democracy and human rights are hollow slogans when used to justify aggression.
Real national security comes from unity and empowering our people and experts.
” He added that Iran’s enemies fear the awareness and strength of its people.
Pezeshkian announced the delegation of broader powers to ministers and governors for crisis management and emphasized accelerating customs clearance to prevent distribution disruptions.
He concluded by honoring Iran’s martyrs, calling on the nation to put aside differences and fully mobilize civilian capabilities.
“The Iranian nation has always proven it will spare no effort to defend its land.”
