Pakistani PM, Iranian President Hold Phone Call: Condemnation of U.S. Strikes and Support for Diplomacy
Islamabad-The Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan announced that Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with President Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran this afternoon, discussing recent regional developments and U.S.-Israeli military strikes.

Weezharoz-During the call, Prime Minister Sharif strongly condemned the recent U.S. attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, calling them a continuation of Israel’s unlawful aggression over the past several days and a blatant violation of international law.
Sharif expressed condolences over the loss of Iranian lives and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
He reaffirmed the solidarity of the people and Government of Pakistan with the Iranian nation.
Referring to the fact that some of the targeted facilities were under IAEA safeguards, the Prime Minister emphasized that the strikes represented a serious breach of international law and the IAEA Statute.
He further invoked Article 51 of the UN Charter to affirm Iran’s legitimate right to self-defense, while also urging a swift return to diplomacy and coordinated international efforts to prevent further escalation.
In response, President Pezeshkian expressed deep appreciation for Pakistan’s support and described it as a sign of the strong ties between the two nations.
Both leaders stressed the urgent need for unity among Muslim nations and agreed to maintain close contact amid the evolving situation.
