Opening of a Modern Terminal in Kabul: A Significant Step for Transport Infrastructure Development and Job Creation
Kabu – A ceremony was held to inaugurate a modern and standardized terminal in the Pul-e-Charkhi area of Kabul, attended by high-ranking officials from the Islamic Emirate and representatives from relevant ministries. The project, which is being constructed at a cost of 163 million Afghanis on a 7.3 jerib plot of land, is expected to be completed and operational within the next 18 months.

Weezharoz-This terminal, with advanced facilities including a two-story administrative building, a mosque, parking lot, restaurant, separate waiting lounges for women and men, and other welfare services, will be one of the largest passenger terminals in the capital.
The project is expected to create direct employment for 500 people and indirect employment for nearly 2,500 people.
Prominent figures such as Mullah Noorul Haq Anwar, Sheikh Hamdullah Naemani, Acting Minister of Urban Development, Noorjahlal Jalali, Acting Minister of Public Health, Qari Din Muhammad Hanif, Acting Minister of Economy, Mullah Mohammad Nasir Akhund, Acting Minister of Finance, and Mullah Aminullah Obaid, Governor of Kabul, attended the opening ceremony.
Officials at the event described the opening of the terminal as an important step towards improving the city’s transport system, reducing traffic challenges, and strengthening the local economy.
Sheikh Hamdullah Naemani, Acting Minister of Urban Development, said:
“This project will not only provide better services to the citizens but also play a key role in reducing unemployment by creating thousands of job opportunities.”
According to the plans, once completed, the terminal will serve as the main hub for passenger transportation in Kabul and will facilitate connectivity between the city center and more distant areas.
Additionally, modern design and adherence to safety standards are prioritized in this project.
