No Ceasefire Agreement Between Iran and Israel; Araghchi: Halt in Strikes Depends on Israel Ending Aggression
Tehran – Amid widespread speculation in media outlets and on social networks regarding a possible ceasefire between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Israel, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi dismissed such rumors in a social media statement.

Weezharoz-Araghchi clarified that no formal agreement has been reached so far to cease hostilities or suspend military operations between the two sides.
In his post, he stated: “As Iran has repeatedly said, Israel initiated the war against Iran, not the other way around.”
He added: “Currently, there is no agreement on a ceasefire. However, if the Zionist regime halts its aggression against the Iranian people by no later than 4 a.m. Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response.”
Araghchi noted that a final decision on the cessation of Iran’s military operations will be made at an appropriate time.
These remarks come amid escalating missile exchanges between Iran and Israel and growing regional tensions.
In recent days, some unofficial sources had reported backchannel negotiations aimed at de-escalation and a temporary ceasefire.
However, Tehran’s official stance makes clear that any suspension of military action is conditional on an end to Israel’s hostilities, and no formal ceasefire has been agreed to yet.
