Weezha Roz-The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan reports that Alireza Bigdeli, the new Iranian Ambassador to Kabul, has met with Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanekzai, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Afghanistan, for a courtesy meeting.
According to the Ministry’s statement, Mr. Stanekzai extended his best wishes for the success of the new Iranian Ambassador in his mission and expressed that political, economic, and cultural relations between Afghanistan and Iran would be further strengthened during the Ambassador’s tenure.
The statement also mentioned that the two sides discussed the issues faced by Afghan migrants in Iran, with both expressing hope that necessary facilities would be provided to ease the movement of Afghans to Iran and address the challenges Afghan refugees face in the country.
Additionally, the statement noted that Mr. Bigdeli emphasized the importance of expanding political, economic, and cultural relations between Iran and Afghanistan.
