National Disaster Management Authority Warning: Heavy Rainfall and Flood Risk in 19 Provinces
Fawzia Sediqi – The National Disaster Management Authority has issued an official warning stating that, according to forecasts by the Meteorological Department of the Ministry of Transport and Aviation and credible international institutions, there is a likelihood of rainfall, snowfall, thunderstorms, and flooding in several provinces of the country.

The warning specifies that Kabul, Parwan, Bamyan, Daikundi, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Paktia, Paktika, Ghazni, Kandahar, Zabul, Uruzgan, Helmand, Herat, Farah, Ghor, Badghis, Sar-e-Pul, and Faryab will be affected by these weather conditions.
Rainfall is expected to range between 5 and 30 millimeters, while snowfall in different areas may reach between 5 and 30 centimeters.
The Authority has urged residents of these provinces to avoid approaching riverbanks and areas at risk of flooding, and to follow the instructions of provincial disaster management committees by taking necessary precautions.
Furthermore, the Authority has directed all provincial officials and staff to remain on full alert to prevent potential damages.
