Ministry of Finance Repatriates Dozens of Low-Quality Oil Tankers
The Oil Quality and Monitoring Directorate of Afghanistan's Ministry of Finance has announced that in the month of Dalwa 1403 (2025), the ministry successfully repatriated a large number of low-quality oil tankers from various customs points across the country.

Weezha Roz-Kabul-According to reports, these tankers included 124 shipments of low-quality oil that had been imported into the country, and their quality was found to be at the lowest possible level.
Of this number, 88 tankers of diesel were repatriated from Farah Customs, 33 tankers of diesel and 3 tankers of liquefied gas from Nimroz Province Customs.
The Ministry of Finance emphasized that the Oil Quality and Monitoring Directorate is responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality of imported oil products according to established standards and criteria.
The ministry also stressed its ongoing efforts to prevent the importation of low-quality oil, ensuring that only standardized, high-quality products reach the market.
This action by the Ministry of Finance is significant in preserving energy quality and protecting the environment, especially in terms of fuel and energy consumption.
According to officials from the Ministry of Finance, the repatriation of low-quality oil is an important step toward supporting consumers and strengthening the national economy.
