Meeting of Deputy PM for Administrative Affairs with Cultural and Media Figures

Kabul-Malawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Prime Minister for Administrative Affairs, held a meeting yesterday evening with a group of cultural figures and media activists from various provinces of the country. The session took place in a cordial atmosphere with the aim of reviewing the current cultural and media landscape in Afghanistan.

Weezharoz-The meeting began with a speech by Mawlawi Naeemul Haq Haqqani, representing the attendees.

He expressed appreciation for the leadership of the Islamic Emirate and described the overall state of culture and media as satisfactory.

He emphasized that under the guidance of the leadership, valuable steps have been taken in the field of culture and media, which deserve to be communicated to the public.

Haqqani stated, “Accurate information dissemination is necessary to counter hostile propaganda.”

He also highlighted several challenges facing the media sector, such as technical limitations, lack of resources, and the need for greater support for local media outlets.

He called on the Islamic Emirate authorities to address these issues to enable the continued growth of cultural and journalistic activities.

In response, Deputy PM Hanafi welcomed the feedback and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting responsible and committed cultural and media initiatives.

He promised to review the challenges and work on practical solutions to strengthen this important sector.
