Meeting Between Minister of Information and Culture and Head of the Afghanistan–Norway Independent Commission in Kabul
Kabul – Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, Minister of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met with Bjorn Thor Godal, Chairman of the Afghanistan–Norway Independent Commission, along with his accompanying delegation, at his office in Kabul.

Weezharoz-At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Godal briefed the Minister on the responsibilities and objectives of the Commission, stating that their mandate is to assess Norway’s political, humanitarian, and other engagements in Afghanistan from 2015 to 2021 and beyond.
He reaffirmed Norway’s commitment to continuing its assistance and cooperation with Afghanistan in various sectors.
Minister Khairkhwa welcomed the delegation and stated that today’s Afghanistan, after forty years, has a strong and stable system that has ensured security across the country, allowing citizens to travel freely throughout the nation.
He added that the Islamic Emirate has initiated development and reconstruction projects in different provinces and is actively combating narcotics.
In conclusion, both sides emphasized strengthening and expanding relations between Afghanistan and Norway.
