Iran Rejects French Criticism Over Cannes Award, Summons French Diplomat

TEHRAN-Iran has summoned France's chargé d'affaires in response to comments made by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot regarding the Palme d'Or awarded to Iranian filmmaker Jafar Panahi at the Cannes Film Festival. Barrot described the film as a symbol of resistance against the Iranian regime's oppression.
