Inauguration of the Largest Water Supply Network in Jawzjan; Emphasis on Preserving Development Projects
Sheberghan-The largest water supply network project in Jawzjan province, valued at approximately 450 million Afghanis, was officially inaugurated today during a formal ceremony attended by senior government officials, local authorities, and tribal elders.

Weezharoz-This infrastructure project spans 140 kilometers and will serve nearly 7,500 households. Funded entirely through domestic resources, it is regarded as one of the most significant development achievements in Jawzjan to date.
During the inauguration ceremony, Qari Gul Haidar Shafaq, the Governor of Jawzjan, expressed satisfaction over the growing number of development projects and stated: “Such initiatives not only reflect the Islamic Emirate’s strong commitment to serving the people but also represent concrete steps toward economic growth and sustainable development.”
He emphasized the importance of safeguarding national projects and called on community elders to convey the message of protecting public infrastructure to the local population.
The governor also reaffirmed the general amnesty policy and urged opposition groups to refrain from spreading negative propaganda against the Islamic Emirate.
*Haji Ghulam Rahman Azim, Director General of the Emirati Water Supply and Urban Sewerage Company, stated:
“We are committed to implementing essential and service-oriented projects, and the public must also participate in the responsible use and preservation of natural and underground water resources.”
Dr. Abdul Bari Omar, Director General of the Breshna Power Company, praised the unity among the Afghan people, adding: “Ethnic division and discrimination have no place in our society. Afghans live side by side as brothers, and projects like this can serve as symbols of unity and national progress.”
At the conclusion of the event, Haji Aminullah Khaksar, a respected tribal elder representing the people of Jawzjan, expressed gratitude for the implementation of the project, describing it as unprecedented in the province.
With the inauguration of this major water supply network, it is hoped that critical needs of residents in Sheberghan and surrounding areas will be addressed and that the pace of development in the province will accelerate.
