Important Meeting at the Afghan Embassy: Constructive Talks Between Kabul and Delhi Representatives in Beijing

In an effort to strengthen bilateral relations and explore regional cooperation opportunities, Mawlawi Bilal Karimi, Afghanistan's Ambassador to China, met with Sudheendra Kulkarni, a prominent political figure and former diplomat from India, at the Afghan Embassy in Beijing.

1.Emphasis on Regional Stability: The importance of bilateral dialogues in addressing shared challenges and ensuring long-term stability in the region.
2.Trade and Investment Opportunities: Exploring the potential for increased trade exchanges, Indian investments in Afghanistan’s infrastructure sectors, and expanding economic cooperation.
3.Utilizing Transit Corridors: Discussing the potential of Afghanistan’s transit corridors to boost trade between South Asia and Central Asia.
4.Visa Facilitation and Community Support*: Enhancing visa services for citizens of both countries and supporting the Afghan community in India.

Ambassador Karimi reaffirmed Afghanistan’s commitment to strengthening ties with India as a key regional partner.

Kulkarni highlighted the historical and cultural cooperation between the two countries as a foundation for expanding current relations.

Both sides underscored the importance of leveraging regional organizations such as SAARC and ECO to achieve common objectives.

This meeting is seen as a positive step toward enhancing diplomatic engagement between Afghanistan and India.

It is expected that continued discussions will lead to the signing of new agreements in economic and security sectors.
