Ilhan Omar Slams U.S. Strikes on Iran, Warns of Escalating Crisis and Urges End to War
Washington–Ilhan Omar, a Muslim member of the U.S. Congress, issued a strong condemnation of the recent U.S. military strikes on Iran, calling the move a reckless escalation that threatens to deepen regional tensions.

Weezharoz– In her official statement, Omar criticized the airstrikes as having been launched under the order of President Donald Trump without congressional authorization.
“This is yet another example of diplomacy being cast aside in favor of bombs an approach that only brings more death and destruction,” she said.
She emphasized that military actions do not bring peace, but instead lead to greater violence, regional instability, and the endangerment of both American forces and civilians.
Highlighting past U.S. foreign policy failures, Omar stated, “We have seen time and again the deadly consequences of abandoning diplomacy.”
She urged Congress to immediately vote on war powers resolutions introduced by Representative Thomas Massie and Senator Tim Kaine, which seek to restrict unauthorized military action.
“The American people are tired of endless wars,” she added. “We must stop this madness before more lives are lost.”
