Heavy Clash in Kabul: Security Forces Eliminate ISIS Hideout
Kabul-Security sources have confirmed that on the evening of Monday, June 9, Afghan security forces launched a special operation targeting an ISIS hideout in the Qasaba area of Kabul.
According to weezharoz’s correspondent, the operation was conducted based on precise intelligence and resulted in the killing of three ISIS members, with one other arrested.
Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior, declined to comment directly but confirmed the occurrence of the clash in Qasaba to the media.
Local sources stated that the operation was successful and the area is now fully under the control of security forces.
This comes amid growing concerns in recent months over covert ISIS cells operating in Kabul.
However, security officials have repeatedly assured the public that any terrorist threats will be preemptively neutralized.
