Four Children Killed in Suspected Drone Strike in Mir Ali; Protests Erupt in Northwestern Pakistan

Islamabad-A suspected drone strike in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, Pakistan, has resulted in the tragic deaths of four children and injuries to five others. The incident has sparked widespread outrage among local residents, with thousands taking to the streets and placing the children's bodies on the main road to demand accountability from the authorities.

Weezharoz-In response to the incident, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) strongly condemned the attack, labeling it as part of a systematic campaign of genocide against the Pashtun and Baloch ethnic groups.

The committee emphasized that Pashtun and Baloch regions have endured decades of state pressure, violence, and military repression, asserting that such acts cannot be justified under any circumstances.

In a statement, BYC noted that just as a policy of genocide is pursued against the Baloch people in Balochistan, similar state violence continues in Pashtun areas.

The committee called for unity among the oppressed ethnic groups of the region to resist these injustices and work towards ending the cycle of violence.

Investigations into the drone strike are ongoing, and Pakistani authorities have yet to issue an official statement regarding responsibility for the attack.

The incident has reignited concerns about human rights and the safety of civilians in Pakistan’s border regions.

Analysts point out that while militant groups have also employed drones, the source of this recent strike remains unclear.

The attack occurred in a region with a strong presence of Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and has witnessed increased military operations and insurgent violence in recent years.

Local officials and human rights advocates are demanding transparency and urgent measures to prevent such tragedies in the future.
