Weezha Roz– Around 4:00 PM on Friday, four children were injured as a result of the explosion of an unexploded shell in the Sufi Khil area of Shinwari district, Parwan province.
The spokesperson for the Parwan Police Command stated that the children, including one boy and three girls, are all under the age of ten.
He added that the injured children were immediately transferred from the scene to the provincial civil hospital in Parwan for treatment.
Fazal Rahim Miskinyar, spokesperson for the Parwan Police Command, told weezha Roz that the health condition of the injured children is stable, but one of them was transferred to Kabul for better treatment.
He stated that the explosion was caused by a shell that had not detonated and had remained in the area from previous times.
