First-Ever Trilateral Meeting Between Pakistan, China, and Bangladesh Focuses on Strategic Cooperation in South Asia

Islamabad–In a rare diplomatic development, Pakistan, China, and Bangladesh held their first-ever official trilateral meeting aimed at enhancing foreign relations and advancing strategic interests in South Asia.

Weezharoz– According to official sources, the meeting took place in Islamabad at the deputy foreign minister level and included senior representatives from all three countries.

Key agenda items included strengthening political cooperation, expanding regional infrastructure development, coordinating on security issues, and increasing both bilateral and multilateral trade.

Officials emphasized the growing need for regular dialogue and close cooperation in light of accelerating geopolitical shifts in the region.

Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said in a statement: “This meeting marks an important step toward establishing effective mechanisms for collaboration across various fields among three friendly and neighboring countries.”

Delegates from China and Bangladesh welcomed the initiative and called for continued trilateral dialogue and the expansion of joint projects in areas such as energy, transit, and transnational challenges.

Regional analysts believe such trilateral forums could pave the way for new political and economic blocs in South Asia and significantly alter existing power dynamics.
