Chinese FM Meets French President Macron in Paris, Emphasizes Strategic Partnership and Multilateralism

Paris – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace during his official visit to Europe. The meeting focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between China and France and enhancing cooperation on global stability.

Weezharoz-According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, both sides reaffirmed the importance of their bilateral relationship, describing China and France as “major stabilizing forces in the world.”

Wang Yi emphasized China’s readiness to deepen strategic dialogue and expand cooperation with France amid increasing global uncertainties.

He called for joint efforts to uphold multilateralism, oppose unilateralism and bullying, and resist the formation of geopolitical blocs.

“China and France can bring more certainty and predictability to a turbulent world,” Wang stated.

“Together, we can promote a fairer and more orderly multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization.”

President Macron echoed the importance of maintaining strong diplomatic communication, expressing support for closer coordination on international affairs and collective responses to global challenges.

The meeting was part of broader efforts by both nations to manage geopolitical tensions and advocate for diplomatic solutions to international issues.
