Authorities Deny Reports of Clashes in Kunduz, Urge Public Not to Believe Misleading Media
Security officials in Kunduz province have strongly denied reports circulating in some media outlets about an alleged armed clash between the Islamic Emirate forces and unidentified individuals in the second district of the provincial capital. They called the reports "baseless and malicious fabrications" and urged the public not to believe such rumors.

Weezha Roz-Kabul-Jumauddin Khaksar, spokesperson for the Kunduz Police Command, told us that the reports claiming an armed confrontation took place around 8:00 AM on Tuesday near the city’s southern exit gate were entirely fabricated and have no factual basis.
Khaksar emphasized that the spreading of such rumors not only disrupts the psychological security of the public but also furthers the malicious goals of enemies aiming to create instability.
He urged all media outlets to verify the authenticity of news from official sources before publishing it.
This comes after 8am newspaper published a report citing local sources claiming that a clash had taken place between security forces and unknown gunmen in the mentioned area.
The report did not provide exact details on casualties or any further information about the incident, and the Taliban has not yet responded to these claims.
Some local observers, noting the escalation of scattered conflicts in Kunduz in recent months, have warned that the publication of unverified news could lead to public confusion and be exploited by opposition groups.
Despite these concerns, Islamic Emirate officials continue to emphasize “full security stability” across Afghanistan.
