Administration Affairs: A Seized Property Returned to Its Original Owner

Weezha Roz-The Directorate of Property and Land Inspections under the General Directorate of Administration Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan announced that a seized house in the Wazir Mohammad Akbar Khan area of Kabul city has been returned to its rightful owner.

On Saturday (13th of Dwali), Mawlawi Lal Mohammad Barahani, one of the officials from the Directorate of Property and Land Inspections, stated that as a result of efforts and investigations by the Directorate’s officials, a seized house, which had been in the possession of unauthorized individuals, was returned to its rightful owner.

Haji Zar Alam, son of Fazl Rahman, a resident of Kabul province, expressed his gratitude and satisfaction after receiving his property back, thanking the Directorate of Property and Land Inspections for their help and cooperation.

According to a statement released by the Administration Affairs Directorate, in coordination with relevant authorities, the Directorate of Property and Land Inspections has so far returned over 160 houses and apartments to their original owners, and this process continues.

The statement did not mention the name of the individual who was previously occupying the house.

This comes after a period of 20 years during which powerful and influential individuals used pressure to unlawfully seize properties, especially those located in historic and prominent areas.
