Suicide Attack in Kunduz Leaves 12 Dead and Injured

Weezha Roz-Around 8:35 AM today, Tuesday (February 11), a suicide bomber, who had explosives attached to his body, detonated himself near the entrance of Kabul Bank in Kunduz province.

Jumauddin Khaksar, spokesman for the Kunduz Police Command, confirmed the incident and stated: As a result of the explosion, five individuals, including both militants and civilians, as well as bank guards, were martyred, and seven others were injured.

Mr. Khaksar told Weezha Roz that the attack occurred while government employees were queuing near the entrance of Kabul Bank to collect their salaries this morning.

He added that, as of now, no one has been arrested in connection with the incident, but the Kunduz Police Command, in collaboration with relevant authorities, is working to identify and apprehend those responsible.

No individual or group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
