Ismail Baqaie: Supporting Israeli Crimes in Palestine is an Unprecedented and Despicable Act

Weezha Roz-Ismail Baqaie, spokesperson for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reacted to the recent move by the United States to sanction the International Criminal Court (ICC) and described it as an example of America’s addiction to imposing extraterritorial laws.

He stated that this action targets international institutions and reflects the longstanding complicity between the United States and the Israeli regime.

Baqaie called the sanctioning of the ICC, due to the court’s investigation of Israeli crimes in Palestine, an unprecedented and despicable move.

He viewed this action as part of the long history of collaboration between the U.S. and the occupying regime of Israel, which, according to him, has committed numerous crimes with the aim of “colonial elimination” of Palestine.

The spokesperson also described the sanctioning of the Hague-based court as a blatant abuse of power by the U.S., aimed at granting complete impunity to the Israeli regime and giving it the green light to commit further crimes.

He warned that such actions threaten international peace and security.

Baqaie urged the global community to be aware of this danger and respond accordingly. He emphasized that sanctioning the International Criminal Court not only undermines international justice but also allows regimes that commit crimes to continue their actions without fear of legal prosecution.

This statement reflects the Islamic Republic of Iran’s stance in support of Palestine and opposition to U.S. and Israeli policies in the region.

Iran has consistently called for international institutions to address Israeli crimes in Palestine and has criticized the U.S.’s unilateral sanctions against international bodies.
