Railway Transportation Between Afghanistan and Iran is Increasing

Weezha Roz– Nooruddin Azizi, the Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce of Afghanistan, met with an Iranian government delegation led by Engineer Morteza Jafari, the Deputy of the Iranian Railway Administration.
The Ministry of Industry and Commerce reports that the meeting discussed imports and exports between the two countries, as well as the transfer of Afghan goods through the railway route from Iran and Turkey to European countries.
According to the Ministry, the Iranian delegation committed to handling Afghanistan’s exported, transited, and imported goods at the lowest rates and, if possible, completing the process in the shortest time.
Mr. Azizi emphasized the importance of providing facilities for traders by both governments and increasing transportation via rail.
He also introduced a five-member team to the Iranian delegation to improve coordination and cooperation.
