Chief Executive of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan Meets with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Kazakhstan

Fawzea sediqi– Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Chief Executive (Prime Minister) of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, met this morning with Mr. Serik Zhumangarin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Kazakhstan, who arrived in Kabul at the head of a high-level delegation on an official visit.

The meeting took place at the Gulkhana Palace.

During the talks, the Chief Executive highlighted that Afghanistan and Kazakhstan are two Muslim countries sharing numerous commonalities in political, economic, religious, and cultural spheres.

Mr. Zhumangarin, in turn, expressed his satisfaction with his visit to Kabul and stated that the purpose of the trip is to expand and strengthen economic and political relations with Afghanistan.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan emphasized that the President of Kazakhstan pays special attention to Afghanistan and closely monitors bilateral relations, considering Afghanistan a key partner in the region.

He further noted that Kazakhstan places particular importance on humanitarian cooperation with Afghanistan, especially regarding returning refugees and Afghans affected by natural disasters.

He added that today eight trucks carrying humanitarian aid, including tents, medicines, and various essential supplies, have been delivered to Afghanistan.

Mr. Zhumangarin also expressed his country’s desire to increase export volumes to Afghanistan and announced that a joint Afghan-Kazakh trade chamber would be inaugurated today in Kabul.

Referring to Afghanistan’s progress across various sectors under its current leadership, he affirmed that Kazakhstan is ready to cooperate with Afghanistan in all fields.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan formally extended an official invitation from the President of Kazakhstan to the Chief Executive of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to visit Kazakhstan.

The Chief Executive of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan described bilateral relations as important and stated that Afghanistan has made significant progress in various areas, attributing these achievements to the cooperation of friendly nations.

Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund expressed hope that this visit would further strengthen ties between the two countries and emphasized that all relevant authorities have been instructed to take practical steps to expand cooperation and enhance relations between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan.

The Chief Executive also requested Mr. Zhumangarin to convey his greetings and best wishes to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan and members of the Kazakh Cabinet.

Concluding the meeting, Alhaj Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund extended an invitation to the President of Kazakhstan to visit Afghanistan.
