UN Security Council Emergency Session: Iran Condemns U.S. and Israeli Nuclear Aggression

New York-During the third emergency session of the United Nations Security Council on the recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, Amir Saeid Iravani, Iran’s Permanent Representative to the UN, strongly criticized the international community’s silence, calling the attacks an act of aggression against a non-nuclear state.

He emphasized Iran’s transparency in its peaceful nuclear program and stated that over the past ten days, Tehran had provided all relevant information to both the UN Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), reaffirming its full cooperation with international oversight bodies.

Iravani urged the Security Council to take immediate action to prevent further such attacks and hold the perpetrators accountable.

This session came amid growing global concern following the unprecedented strikes on Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, with many countries calling for restraint and a return to diplomatic solutions.
