Pakistan PM, U.S. Secretary of State Discuss Regional Peace in Phone Call
Islamabad-Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Friday, discussing key regional developments and bilateral matters, the Prime Minister’s Office announced.
weezharoz-During the call, Prime Minister Sharif praised the leadership of President Donald Trump and Secretary Rubio’s diplomacy in facilitating the Pakistan-India ceasefire understanding, calling it a vital step toward reducing regional tensions.
Secretary Rubio, in turn, appreciated Pakistan’s steadfast commitment to upholding the ceasefire agreement with India and acknowledged Islamabad’s consistent efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
Both sides also discussed future cooperation in the fields of security, economy, and diplomacy, and affirmed the importance of continued dialogue to strengthen bilateral relations.
