Trump: Iran and Israel Will Soon Reach a Ceasefire Deal Like India and Pakistan
Washington-Former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that Iran and Israel are on the verge of reaching a ceasefire agreement, comparing the situation to what he described as his successful mediation between India and Pakistan.
weezharoz-In a post on Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Iran and Israel should make a deal, and will make a deal, just like I got India and Pakistan to make.”
He added that several negotiations and meetings are currently underway to reach such an agreement.
Trump said that during his presidency, he used U.S. trade leverage to bring “reason, cohesion, and sanity” into talks between India and Pakistan, helping them avoid further armed conflict.
His remarks come as tensions between Iran and Israel have sharply escalated in recent days, with both sides reporting casualties and infrastructure damage following military strikes.
While Trump holds no official role in the current diplomatic efforts, analysts suggest his comments are part of a broader attempt to highlight his influence in international affairs as he seeks political relevance ahead of future elections.
So far, neither Iranian nor Israeli officials have responded to Trump’s statements.
